THINK SPRING: South Eastern School District students in Mrs. Kim Smith's third-grade class wrote these poems in honor of the new season.

CHANCE SHIPLEY
The bees sting you.
Help other people when needed.
In the spring it gets warmer.
Nights get longer in the spring.
Keep jeans in drawer.
Safe in house away from the sun.
People are always nice.
Race against people.
I keep my things inside so they don't get wet.
Nature is all quiet.
Get flowers.

MELODY KURTZ
The 180 days of school are almost over.
Hot at the beach.
Isn't summer coming soon
No more snow.
Kites are in the sky.
Some flowers are growing outside.
People are wearing T-shirts.
Rabbits are hopping around.
I'm thinking about summer vacation.
New leaves are on the trees.
Go outside and play.

KATELYN EVANS
The sun is hot and spring is here
Have a cup of lemonade and take a swim if you can
Ice mixed up to make a snow cone may cool you down
Nice cold water would feel good
Keep inside if you want to stay cool
Spring is a very hot time so if I were you I would go and play somewhere cool
Play and have fun and do not watch TV because TV is for a rainy day
Rain may come so save the TV for a day like that to come
Icy rain may come in spring but think of it this way you did not watch TV
Nice and sweet lemonade on a hot day with your friends
Go and play while you can because winter may ruin the fun

KRISTEN STEWART
The breeze is slowing down
Harsh winters are over
In spring flowers will bloom
No more snow
Kind breeze will comfort people
Salmon will be out for fishing
Peep the birds will say
Ripe fruit will be on fruit trees
I will go out and play in the sun
Now everything will be perfect for me
Gone! Winter is out of sight. Now spring is ready to come.

AARON GRAFTON
The school year is almost over.
Hunter is going crazy.
I play outside.
No more yellow snow.
Kits are flying down at me.
Sun comes out.
People are outside.
Run with your friends.
I have fun outside.
No snow.
Go outside.

HAILEY MILLER
The warm summer day at the beach

Rules
Iced tea
Nice every day
Grow for life

KURT DIEHL
The flowers start to grow.
Hate the fan off.
Indoor games are boring
Never play indoors.
Knew I should be in spring
Stay outside
Play in the pool
Robins are in spring
In the spring the birds sing
Need lots of water.
Going wild
